SC-OR led all of Butte County and the Nation into the SOLAR AGE by constructing a 500 KW solar power plant in 2002. Today, covering the 3 acre site are 2,218 solar panels that convert sunlight directly into electricity, cutting SC-OR's electric bill by 40%.
